Welcome New Director of Mission Integration

Victoria Radleigh Smith joins the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership as the Director for Mission Integration.

Washington, D.C., 5/15/2019 – Victoria Radleigh Smith begins her service with NCCL as the Director of Mission Integration today. The Director of Mission Integration (DMI) serves the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership (NCCL) as a full-time professional staff member responsible for ensuring that NCCL is effective in the development and engagement of its membership. Reporting to the Executive Director, the DMI is responsible for the creation and execution of on-going training and formation opportunities for our membership and a communication plan in accord with the mission and strategic vision. The DMI will also strengthen collaborative efforts with national partner organizations.

With nearly 17 years of experience, Victoria Radleigh Smith has spent more than half of her life serving the church. She has worked at both the parish and diocesan level, with much of her professional experience being rooted in catechesis and evangelization. Most recently, Victoria served as a Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Prior to that she spent 10 years at parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Diocese of Kalamazoo.

Victoria also has a strong background in conference management. She has coordinated regional and national events, such as the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress and the City of Saints Teen Conference. In 2013 Victoria received a National Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies. In 2016 she was commissioned as a Master Catechist. When not working, Victoria loves movies, traveling, and Disneyland trips. She and her husband, Andrew, live in Burbank, California.

Victoria believes in the importance of accompanying, mentoring, and forming catechetical leaders. She is grateful and mindful of the many who have accompanied and empowered her on her journey towards discipleship. She is excited to begin this new journey and trusts that the Holy Spirit will guide her as she serves NCCL.
